Thormeier.co — Founder Brand & LinkedIn Advisory

Owned and operated by Finn Thormeier.

What I do:

I help SaaS / AI founders grow faster on LinkedIn, build a stronger founder brand, and drive more pipeline from it.

Track record / why I have the audacity to teach this stuff:

  1. Grew my LinkedIn to 43,000 followers

  2. Which to date has generated about $3.2m in revenue for myself

  3. Built a LinkedIn ghostwriting agency (Project 33) to 7 people and $100k/month, where we worked with over 80 B2B tech companies

  4. Advised over 30 founders on how to grow on LinkedIn, including the CEO of a publicly-traded cybersecurity company, see testimonials below

  5. I run the biggest podcast and newsletter in this space (founderbrand.org)

  6. I've interviewed over 150 of the biggest founder brands about their approach, including Jason Fried, DHH, Henry Schuck, Dave Gerhardt, Guillaume Moubeche, Adam Robinson

  7. Spoke on stages about this stuff, eg. at Nathan Latka's SaaSOpen

My speciality is technical founders (SaaS/AI/cybersecurity) who sell large deals into senior decision-makers. I've studied this little niche of the world more deeply than anyone else, while still having my hands in the dirt every day myself.

Some people I've worked with:

- Tony Scott, CEO Intrusion, ex-CIO Microsoft, ex-CIO US Govt under Obama

- Anurag Goel, CEO Render

- Ben Nicholson, CEO ShareDo, exited to Clio

- Jack Newton, CEO Clio

- Mark Gilbert, CEO Zocks

- Lona Alia, CRO SafetyWing

- Johannes Landgraf, CEO Ona, exited to OpenAI

- Philipp Ströhemann, CEO ComX, exited to PE
- Sebastian Szalinski, CEO Iron Media

- Anurag Gupta, CEO Shoreline, exited to NVIDIA

- Kyle Galbraith, CEO Depot

- Aleksandr Yampolskiy, CEO SecurityScorecard

My POV / why founder brand:

I believe building your founder brand is one of the highest leverage things you can do as a founder. It personally changed my life.

If done right, it makes you millions, helps you attract A-players, gets you exposed to opportunities you would otherwise never have access to, and it becomes a moat for your company that keeps compounding the longer you do it.

And if you're in B2B and sell large deals into senior decision-makers, the #1 channel you need to figure out is LinkedIn.

But LinkedIn has become super saturated and noisy. OpenAI and Anthropic made it infinitely cheap and easy for anyone to create content. There is no playbook or template that just works out of the box anymore.

So strategy actually matters again. You need to have a unique POV, find the angles and formats that work for you, understand the mechanics of high-performing content, lean into your personality, not overuse AI, and build a system that allows you to operationalize all this in a way that's tailored to your goals and constraints.

That's what I help founders and their team solve in the workshops.

How to work with me:

FAQ:

> I'm not in SaaS/AI, does this still apply?

Yes. The principles apply across B2B, and I've worked with founders in tech, services, and consulting.

> I'm a marketer looking to activate my founders/execs, does this still apply?

Yes, but the founders/execs in question need to be bought in and attend the workshop. We've helped many marketing teams install a LinkedIn thought leadership program they can run in-house.

> I've already been posting and/or getting results. Is this still for me?

Yes. If you've been posting with no pipeline to show for it, or you believe there's more juice to be squeezed, this is exactly what we help with: tweaking the strategy and system for maximal output.

> Is this an agency? Do you do all the work for me?

No. Our core offer is advisory and workshops. We do work with a handful of clients every year on execution to stay close to the work, if they qualify after doing the workshop.

> Who from my company should do this?

The founder(s) and whoever will help you run the system, usually a marketer or assistant/chief of staff.

> How much does it cost?

The workshop is $5k. You can bring as many people from your company as you want. If you haven't made at least $5k from my free content/newsletter/podcast, don't do it. If you have, chances are I can help more.
